Commissioning Devices
The Andel Cloud mobile app can also be used by installers to provision new devices into a scheme.
Only user with the installer role can perform this process.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure:
A scheme owner has created your installer account and you have access to the right scheme
A scheme owner has set up all the required location zones
You are logged in on the app using your installer account
You have the site Wi-Fi details to hand (SSID and password)
Bluetooth and location are enabled on your phone
You have the physical device to be installed ready to go, with any required batteries to hand (not yet installed)
You have permission to access the location where the device is being installed
If the device has already been set up before on another scheme, it must first be deleted on the web portal by a scheme owner, then reset by holding the config button for 5 seconds.
Adding a New Device
Open the app (or enter Installer Mode as a scheme owner)
Go to the Device Provisioning tab (Bluetooth symbol) at the bottom of the screen
Turn on the device by plugging in the batteries - wait for the device to show the double flash pattern on its status indicator, and ensure the device is positioned as close as possible to its final installation location before continuing
Tap the "Search" button at the bottom of the page, the app will then scan for devices using Bluetooth
When the device you have just turned on appears, tap on it to select it
Enter a useful device name - this should indicate where the device is situated within the zone, and to avoid duplicate names we recommend including the flat number or room number too. For example, "21A Under Sink" or "F12 Kitchen".
Select any other options required for the device - typically set the input to 'leak sensor' for devices like the CloudConnect Puck
Select the appropriate location
Click "Provision" and wait for the device to receive the config
Continue with the 'Connecting to Wi-Fi' instructions
Connecting to Wi-Fi
These steps follow those above, or can be completed after pressing then double pressing the button on the device to reset its Wi-Fi credentials.
When the app gives you a list of Wi-Fi networks to connect to, select the correct one and enter the password
Press the "Connect" button at the bottom of the screen
The device will now connect to Wi-Fi and begin communicating with the Andel Cloud system
When a green popup saying 'Successfully Connected' appears at the top, the device is all connected!
After a few moments, the device will flash its green LED fast then turn off - this means it has successfully connected to the Andel Cloud system
