System Overview
Andel Cloud is organised around a clear, hierarchical structure designed to simplify the management and monitoring of your leak detection devices. Understanding this structure will help you effectively use the platform.
Schemes
At the top level are schemes. A scheme represents a specific site, building, or group of properties - for example, "Greenfield Apartments" or "London Student Accommodation."
Each scheme is isolated from all other schemes, and contains:
The estate and zone structure
Devices installed at that location
Users with assigned roles and permissions
Defined alerts and notification settings
Historical event data and reporting capabilities
Schemes are created by Andel before any hardware is sent to site.
Estate and Zones
Within each scheme, devices and users can be grouped into zones to clearly indicate their physical location or purpose. Zones can represent:
Individual buildings or wings
Floors or specific areas (such as plant rooms)
Individual flats, apartments, or offices
Specific equipment locations (such as kitchens or risers)
Organising devices into zones makes it easy to identify exactly where a leak or event has occurred and determines who will be notified.
It is important to set up all the zones before commencing the provisioning of devices, to ensure installers can add the devices to the correct zones.
Devices
Andel Cloud currently supports only the CloudConnect battery-powered leak detection device, but we are constantly working on new devices and ways to integrate the service.
Please see the and CloudConnect Puck pages for more details on the available devices.
User Roles
To ensure security and efficient management, Andel Cloud provides different user roles each with their own access and permissions.
Owners manage the scheme(s) and all related devices, settings, and users
Installers commission and set up new devices, but can't access any user information or device information after installation
Tenants receive notifications and can only view devices associated with the same zones as them
